Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the GreenCheck mobile application and browser extension (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.

Account Terms

Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service
• If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service

Account Creation and Security

• You may only create and maintain one active account
• Each account must be associated with a unique phone number
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

Service Usage

Intended Use

The Service is intended for scanning and analyzing food and personal care products only. You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose.

Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Upload non-product images or inappropriate content
• Attempt to bypass or manipulate the scan pricing system
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the Service's source code
• Use automated systems or scripts to access the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent scan limitations
• Share or resell scans or scan credits
• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Harass, abuse, or harm another person
• Impersonate any person or entity

Scan Credits

• Scan credits must be purchased to use the scanning feature
• Each scan credit allows for one product scan, regardless of the number of ingredients
• Unused scan credits remain valid until used
• Scan credits are non-transferable

Payment Terms

Pricing

Current scan credit packages:

• 10 scans for $1.99
• 50 scans for $8.99
• 100 scans for $14.99

Payment Processing

• All payments are processed through secure third-party payment processors
• Purchases are made through in-app purchases
• Failed payments must be resolved before additional scan credits can be purchased

Refunds

• Scan credits are non-refundable once purchased
• No refunds will be provided for unused scan credits
• We reserve the right to handle exceptional circumstances at our discretion

Content and Data

Scan Privacy

• All scans are private by default
• Future features will allow optional sharing of scan results
• Users maintain control over their scan visibility
• We reserve the right to analyze anonymized scan data for Service improvement

User-Generated Content

• You retain all rights to any content you create through the Service
• By using the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service
• We may remove any content that violates these Terms or our policies

Account Termination

Termination by User

• You may terminate your account at any time
• Upon termination, remaining scan credits are forfeited
• Account deletion will disassociate all scans from your user identity

Termination by GreenCheck

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including:

• Violation of these Terms
• Suspicious or fraudulent activity
• Upload of inappropriate content
• Creation of multiple accounts
• Any activity that could harm the Service or other users

Intellectual Property

Service Ownership

• The Service, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by GreenCheck
• All rights not expressly granted are reserved

Brand Usage

• You may use our brand assets to promote the Service in a positive manner
• You may not use our brand in any way that suggests partnership or endorsement without written permission
• You may not use our brand in any way that is harmful, deceptive, or disparaging

Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Arbitration Agreement

• Any dispute arising from these Terms will be settled by binding arbitration
• Arbitration will be conducted in California
• You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of a class action
• This arbitration agreement survives termination of these Terms

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via the Service or email. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
